RECENT AND CURRENT PROJECTS
- Designing a transparency process for Bayelsa State in Nigeria: Bayelsa State in Nigeria is in the oil-rich but conflict-ridden Niger Delta region. The Government of Bayelsa State has recently launched the Bayelsa Expenditure and Income Transparency Initiative (BEITI) and a team from S.E.B. Strategy Ltd has, on behalf of the Revenue Watch Institute, helped to design the implementation strategy and disclosure process for the initiative.
- Promoting transparency in the Solomon Islands: The Solomon Islands is a country in which several new mining developments are underway. Working with the World Bank and the Solomon Islands Government, Sefton Darby is involved in considering the transparency issues in this new sector.
-
Training on the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative in the Asia-Pacific Region: S.E.B. Strategy Ltd has been hired by the German Government agency InWEnt to deliver EITI training programmes around the world. There has been limited EITI implementation in the Asia-Pacific region, so the next InWEnt training programme in Jakarta in March 2010 will be an opportunity to expand the level of understanding of the EITI in the region.
